Ratings: A&P, IA, Student Pilot

David attended a Pilot Ground School at the Three Oaks, Michigan Airport in 1982 with the goal of becoming a Private Pilot, and later graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics (Now Spartan College of Aeronautics) AMT program in Tulsa, achieving an A&P License and I.A. shortly thereafter.

In 30+ years of aircraft maintenance, David has worked in general aviation and corporate aviation. This work has included experimental composite construction kit builders, small aircraft maintenance shops, large aircraft maintenance shops, flight school maintenance departments, an aviation maintenance training center, small charter operators and large fractional and charter corporations, with roles including floor tech, instructor, shop supervisor, maintenance controller, and maintenance direction.

David’s hobbies include relaxing with a good book, leathercraft, woodworking and shooting sports, as well as just about anything related to computers or electronics. He and his wife have taught themselves how to be self sufficient outdoors and enjoy camping together. David is currently working toward his Private Pilot License with the goal of being a PP by his 60th birthday.
